CODELLO

Seventy-five years ago, company founder Rinaldo Codello came from the Italian city of Turin to Munich with a love for fashion – and a vision. He combined the traditional, complex craftsmanship of foulard printing with the inspiration he had gathered on his travels abroad. This was the starting point for his first foulard collection named CODELLO. He recomposed various classic print motifs and had them printed on silk with striking colour compositions. This resulted in an unmistakable signature and a distinctive design style. In the 1980s, the company was handed over to the Schnabl family. The typical CODELLO motifs printed on foulards and scarves continue to be the trademark of the family business, now being run by its second generation. The collection pieces are made predominantly by hand, from design to production, and are developed by a creative team headed by Miriam and Michael Schnabl.
