HUNTER ORIGINAL AUTUMN/WINTER 2015-16 READY-TO-WEAR LONDON
ALASDHAIR WILLIS has a habit of making any type of weather seem appealing. Last season it was the rain and this time it was of course winter. Of course it was, it’s the autumn/winter 2015 season after all and this is an outerwear brand. But still, it’s pretty clever to be able to add new dimensions and a certain desire to clothes you know you’re going to have to be brave from the outset to wear (eg, step out into the brrrracing cold).
This evening’s show put the case forward for padded and quilted coats in olive and rust shades – one that was long and fastened down the side with big black buttons an especially nice option. We moved onto colour-blocked and belted versions, furry-fuzzy numbers and also uncovered a solution of how to carry your umbrella stylishly: in Hunter’s new bag holders – wear it across your body just like a bag and problem solved. With the weather making for persistent front row and between-show chat this season, it’s good to know that someone’s listening in.
With thanks to Mercedes Benz.
