WHEN is a fashion show not a fashion show? When Opening Ceremony’s Carol Lim and Humberto Leon get their hands on it and decided to ditch the lot in favour of a one-night only play, written by Jonah Hill and directed by Spike Jonze, naturally. Of course this is what will have racked up the column inches and internet cookies – when you have Dree Hemingway, Elle Fanning et al “doing fashion” it’s going to make for quite the story. But there were clothes too. Slick, techno, sci-fi-esque at times, emphasis was on fabrications and shapes still anchored in that sportswear tech fashion has for so long been dabbling with. The question is, however, will anyone actually remember them?
