DARKOH FALL/WINTER 2014 LIBERTY FAIRS LAS VEGAS
DARKOH is a young menswear brand that combines impeccable aspects of bespoke tailoring, with advanced elements of retail merchandising. The philosophy behind DARKOH is to make customized suits, (combined with high quality suiting fabric from renowned English and Italian mills) available as ready-to-wear product to the new generation of fashion conscious men. DARKOH strives to cater to the rising diversity of men’s individual style, by combining these different facets into one collection.
Launched by German designer Joyce Darkoh in 2013, the label is derived from her made-to-order suiting background. A graduate of Germany’s prestigious Modeschule Schloss Eller, Joyce has spent over a decade refining the art of the perfect suit, by catering to a large clientele with individual requirements. As a result, she has become one of the very rare females in a male-dominant branch of bespoke tailors and designers, who exclusively focuses on men suiting.
In response to the high demand of in-between sizes and body shapes, (which require made-to-measure services) and the request for instant product availability; Joyce collaborated with renowned patternmakers who have worked with Saville Row tailors, as well as in the garment manufacturing industry.
The outcome is a trend oriented menswear suit line; offering bespoke quality as a comparably affordable retail product. Retail price points for the suit collection range from $665 (linen) to approximately $995 (English wool).
In February 2014, DARKOH launched its Fall Winter 2014 collection at NYFW with enormous press and media response. Celebrities, such as NFL linebacker James Anderson, actor and TV host Terrence Jenkins wore DARKOH at red carpet event and DARKOH also landed a designer feature in the popular NYLON Guys Magazine.
In September 2014, DARKOH showed its Spring/ Summer 2015 collection at Mercedes-Benz New York Fashion Week. The brand introduced a smart and trendy ready-to-wear suit line made out of the finest natural cloth, for the young generation of active men.
In January 2015, DARKOH will be one of the youngest brands showing its Fall Winter 2015 collection at LIBERTY FAIRS in New York together with other big names in the Fashion industry.
