In 1937 Dubarry was established in County Galway on the west coast of Ireland.Following many decades of making general footwear and specialising in moccassins in particular, Dubarry developed a reputation for deck shoes and became the world’s first GORE-TEX licencee for sailing footwear with our renowned Shamrock yachting boot.We then ventured into the broader outdoor arena utilising similar features and benefits perfected from the sailing world to create a range of GORE-TEX lined boots for the Country Lifestyle market that encompasses equestrian, hunting and shooting right through to dog walking, gardening and Apres-Ski.

Clothing and accessories were added in 2009. Dubarry adopts a unique approach of attending hundreds of nautical & country lifestyle events worldwide where we engage with our end-users.This keeps our finger firmly on the pulse and in constant contact with our customers.In October 2012 we opened our first flagship store in Dublin followed a year later by the opening of a store in London.We have our own wholly owned operations in Ireland, the UK, the USA and a recently opened central European sales & distribution centre in the Netherlands.
