JUDY WU AUTUMN/WINTER 2015-16 READY-TO-WEAR LONDON FASHION WEEK

JUDY WU was raised in Shanghai, before moving to London to study fashion and graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2009. She then went on to develop her sophisticated structural pattern-cutting and design techniques at the international brands of House of Holland, Jasmine De Milo and NE•TIGER (a couture house in Shanghai).

In 2013, this talented designer launched her eponymous label with debut Autumn/Winter 2013 collection ‘A Crack in Time’. JUDY WU is already receiving international acclaim with her designs currently stocked in the world-renowned Wolf & Badger boutiques of Notting Hill and Mayfair.

JUDY WU was inspired to be a fashion designer after seeing one of the most memorable moments at Alexander McQueen’s Spring/Summer 1999 runway show, when two robots spray-painted ‘Dress No. 13′. The creation of womenswear as a work of art is now a fundamental driving force in all JUDY WU’s collections.

Her signature style embraces bold prints, intricate modern embellishments and sharp tailoring. Judy designs for a bold, courageous woman who is expressive in her art form. Judy says, ‘I aim to marry classic tailoring with contemporary aesthetics to create fashion possibilities that can empower a modern-day woman.’
