Piazza Sempione – Pre Spring/Summer 2016 Ready-To-Wear

Leave it to pants expert Piazza Sempione to design a pair of culottes that even your mom would want to wear. The big message this season was trousers, from those covetable wide-legs to stovepipes, and there was a dizzying array of prints to choose from. Nothing says Resort quite like geometric capris and a white tunic. A mix of influences, including architecture, androgyny, and sailboats, meant there was something for every Piazza customer, whether you’re a minimalist or a bit preppy. But for old and new shoppers alike, the culottes will no doubt feel the most exciting. Those with a feminine slant would fare well adding the ballet-pink pair to their wardrobe. And New Yorkers will go straight for the black jumpsuit version—grommets at the waist gave them a little edge, something that’s usually missing from the Italian house’s repertoire.
